Agalia
An identity for a local silversmith
The Brief
I was approached by a client who wanted to expand her part-time hobby of silversmithing into a small business - Agalia. I was asked to create a bold and refined identity that could be used to launch the new venture. We decided it was important that the solution conveyed the materials and techniques used in silversmithing.
The Solution
The initial logo concepts we explored referenced themes of structure, reduction and fluidity. The chosen logo contains visual nods to the smelting and soldering processes incorporated in the lettering. Supporting modular elements utilise inverted circular corners to reference silver makers’ marks, alongside flowing linear graphics.
